F. Gregory Scinta fgscinta@smashgraphix.com

Greg has been interested in the visual arts since the early ‘70’s when he, along with his brother Scott, learned the basics from Jim Connell at Trinity High School. After attending The University of Kentucky and graduating with a B.F.A. from the prestigious Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida, Greg’s advertising career began when he joined The Robb Report, an upscale magazine based in Atlanta, then Boston. After an eight year stint on the east coast, Greg returned to Louisville to work with his twin brother at Naiser Design, the second oldest agency of its type in the city. For the past fifteen years Greg and Scott have worked together at Naiser developing corporate identity programs, creating illustrations and designing advertising campaigns. In addition, Greg’s brainchild, Smashgraphix which handles Naiser’s sports and city prints, was developed in 1994. Greg’s awards include five PRSA-IABC Landmark of Excellence awards, three PIAS (Printing Industry Association of the South, Inc.), three CASE Awards and a Bronze award from the 3-Dimensional Illustration Show which is published worldwide.

Greg has been quite generous to our community in recent years. He has donated time and talent to many local charities. In addition, he has supported many of our local schools and charities by donating prints and artwork for auctions and fund-raisers. The shadow box of memorabilia used in the Trinity High School “Through The Years” print was sold for $25,355 at the 1998 Trinity Benefit dinner/auction! Greg also sits on the advisory board at Mercy Academy in Louisville, Kentucky. His work has been selected to be a part of the University of Kentucky Basketball Museum in Lexington, Kentucky.
