Greg has been interested in the visual arts since the
early ‘70’s
when he learned the basics from Jim Connell at Trinity
High School
in Louisville Kentucky. After attending The University
of Kentucky
and graduating from Ringling College of Art and Design
in Sarasota,
Florida, Greg’s advertising career began when he joined The Robb
Report, an upscale magazine based in Atlanta, Georgia
then Boston,
Massachussetts. After an eight year stint on the northeast
coast, Greg
returned to Louisville, Kentucky to work with his twin
brother at Naiser
Design, the second oldest agency of its type in the city.
In 1990 Greg
and Scott worked together at Naiser developing corporate
identity
programs, creating illustrations and designing advertising
campaigns.
In 2008, Greg and Scott resigned from Naiser
Design to further
their careers solely with Smashgraphix, operating as
a full service
design firm and publishing company. Greg’s awards include several
CASE Advancement award, two PRSA-IABC Landmark of Excellence
awards, three Pias, and a Bronze award from the 3-Dimensional
Illustration
Show which is published worldwide and finalist as Vendor
of
the Year for Texas Roadhouse Restaurants in Louisville,
Kentucky.
Greg has been quite generous to our community in recent
years.
He has supported many of our cities local schools and
charities by
donating collector prints and artwork for auctions and
fund-raisers;
recently the shadow box art of memorabilia used in the
Trinity High
School “Through The Years” football print sold for $26,355
at the
Trinity Benefit dinner/auction in 1998! Greg also sits
on the advisory
board at Mercy Academy in Louisville, Kentucky and has
served as
president of the River City Chapter of BNI (Business
Network International)
in Louisville, Kentucky. His work has been selected to
be a
part of the University of Kentucky Basketball Museum
in Lexington,
Kentucky.

Scott is a native of Louisville and a graduate of Trinity High
School. As a student in the Advanced Art Program, he
discovered his
interest in art. He attended the University of Louisville
and earned
a B.F.A. from the prestigious Ringling College of Art
and Design in
Sarasota, Florida. Scott returned to Louisville where
he joined Naiser
Design, the second oldest advertising agency in Louisville.
He was
with Naiser Design for 27 years and served as Vice President
and
Senior Creative Director. With Scott’s focused organization, broad
experience in reaching various audiences, a commitment
to the highest
level of quality and professionalism and a genuine enjoyment
of
the process, Scott is able to listen, articulate and
follow-through with
fresh, memorable solutions that both enhance the original
concept, as
well as, reflect the personality of the client.
In 1994, he and his twin brother, Greg formed Smashgraphix,
a division of Naiser Design. This arm of the business
served as a
publishing company specializing in creating and producing
high-end
collector prints.
In 2008, Scott and Greg resigned from Naiser Design to
further
their careers solely with Smashgraphix, operating as
a full service
design firm and publishing company. Scott has won numerous
design
competitions, including: one Addie Award (American Advertising
Federation); two Louis Awards (Best of Louisville); seven
Silver Louis
Awards, a Bronze Award from the Three-Dimensional Illustration
Show, which is published; six PIAS Awards of Excellence
and a PIAS
Certificate of Merit; the Louisville Graphic Design Association
logo
competition and the Nationwide Paper competition. His
work has
been selected to be a part of The Ringling College of
Art and Design
permanent collection, The Indiana State Museum in Indianapolis,
Indiana, and the University of Kentucky Basketball Museum
in Lexington,
Kentucky. |
